THP420 wholesale: a sourcing guide for European retailers
THP420 is the name of a Canapuff product line that has built up measurable consumer demand in German-speaking markets since 2025. For a retailer, that raises three practical questions: what is actually in the product, which formats and order quantities exist at wholesale level, and how do you check and document a THP420 batch before it goes on the shelf. This guide answers those questions in the order a buyer would ask them. It is written for shop owners and distributors, not for consumers.
Short answer
THP420 is a Canapuff formulation based on hemp-derived cannabinoids. The exact recipe is proprietary, so the certificate of analysis (COA) for each batch is the document you work from. In the COA for a current THP420 cartridge batch, the main measured component is cannabidiol (CBD), with cannabinol (CBN), cannabicitran (CBT), cannabielsoin (CBE), cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabichromene (CBC) as further natural cannabinoids. Delta-9-THC is not detected, and the panel for semi-synthetic cannabinoids such as HHC, THCP or H4CBD shows no detections. Wholesale formats range from single flowers and vapes to distillate from 100 g. Whether a product may be sold depends on national law and on how the listed cannabinoids are classified in your country, which you have to check before ordering.
What THP420 is, and what it is not
THP420 is a brand name, not the name of a single molecule. Unlike CBD, CBG or THCP, you will not find "THP420" as a line item on a laboratory report. The percentage in product names, for example "THP420 Flowers 65 %" or "THP420 Vape 79 %", refers to the formulation strength as declared by the manufacturer, not to the content of one specific cannabinoid.
What a laboratory does report is the cannabinoid profile of the finished product. For the batch A202682 of the THP420 Pen+Cartridge Black Cherry Fizz 79 %, analysed in August 2026 by SFP (spectralfingerprints.com) with GC-FID, GC-MS and HPLC, the certificate lists the following measured values:
| Cannabinoid | Assay |
|---|---|
| Cannabidiol (CBD) | 38.96 % |
| Cannabicitran (CBT) | 4.82 % |
| Cannabinol (CBN) | 3.68 % |
| Cannabielsoin (CBE) | 3.52 % |
| Cannabigerol (CBG) | 2.17 % |
| Cannabichromene (CBC) | 1.84 % |
| Cannabidivarin (CBDV) | 0.61 % |
| Cannabicyclol (CBL) | 0.25 % |
| Delta-9-THC | not detected |
| Delta-8-THC | 0.06 % |
| HHC, HHCP, THCP, H4CBD, THC-O and other semi-synthetic cannabinoids | not detected |
| Synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists (JWH, AM, CUMYL, MDMB series and others, 95 compounds) | not detected |
Read this the way you would read any COA: the values apply to one batch of one product. Flowers, hash, liquids and distillate are different matrices and come with their own certificates. Canapuff publishes the certificate on each consumer product page and provides it for wholesale orders on request. If you want to know how to read the individual panels, our guide How to read a cannabinoid COA walks through them line by line.
How THP420 differs from THCP, HHZ and THCA for stocking purposes
Retailers often group THP420 with other novel cannabinoid lines. For purchasing decisions the differences matter more than the similarities.
| Line | What the COA shows | Regulatory situation (October 2026, simplified) | Stocking note |
|---|---|---|---|
| THP420 | Blend of natural hemp cannabinoids, CBD-dominant, no Delta-9-THC detected, no semi-synthetic cannabinoids detected | No single controlled substance on the certificate. Classification follows the rules for hemp extracts and for the individual cannabinoids in each country. | Broadest format range, from flowers to distillate. Check the THC limit that applies to the product category in your market. |
| THCP | A defined molecule, Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol, usually a few percent in a carrier | Listed as a new psychoactive substance in several EU countries, including Germany since 2024. | Only for markets where it is not listed. Documentation burden is high. |
| HHZ | A defined semi-synthetic cannabinoid | Not named in every national list yet, status changes with each amendment. | Monitor amendments before each reorder. |
| THCA | The acid precursor of THC, converts to THC when heated | Treated as THC in most EU countries once total THC is calculated. | Usually not sellable as a consumer product in the EU. |
The practical consequence: THP420 is the line in this group whose certificate does not contain a listed substance, which simplifies the compliance check. It does not remove it. The product is still a hemp extract product, and hemp extract rules differ by country.
Regulatory position across key EU markets
This section is a starting point, not legal advice, and the situation changes several times a year.
- Germany: Since April 2024 the Konsumcannabisgesetz (KCanG) governs cannabis, and CBD as a substance is excluded from the cannabis definition. Products are assessed on their THC content and on whether any listed substance is present. HHC, HHCP and THCP were added to the NpSG in 2024 and 2025. A COA that shows Delta-9-THC not detected and no listed substances is the basis for the discussion with your authority, but vape liquids and edibles have additional product rules.
- Czech Republic: Hemp products with up to 1 % THC are permitted, and the country regulates psychomodulatory substances through a separate list. Check the current list before stocking vapes.
- Austria and Switzerland: Limits of 0.3 % and 1 % THC respectively for hemp products, with product-specific rules for food and e-liquids.
- France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands: CBD flowers and extracts are traded, but each country applies its own rules on flowers for smoking, on labelling and on novel food status for edibles.
Our overview of EU cannabinoid regulations summarises the national positions in more detail. Before your first order, confirm with your local authority or a lawyer which of the cannabinoids on the certificate are regulated in your country, and which THC limit applies to the product type you want to sell.
Available wholesale formats and typical order quantities
The B2B catalogue currently lists 48 THP420 products. Prices are visible after registration. The table shows the formats and the order units in which they are sold.
| Format | Variants in the catalogue | Order units | Shelf and display note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flowers 65 % | Amnesia, Dosi Kush, GSC, Jealousy, Original Z, Black Cherry Fizz | 1 g, 2 g, 3 g, 5 g retail packs | Smell-proof packs, strain label on each pack. |
| Bulk flowers | Unlabelled | 100 g to 10 kg | For repackaging under your own label. You are then the responsible manufacturer for labelling. |
| Disposable vapes 79 %, 1 ml | Amnesia, Dosi Kush, Jealousy, Original Z, Black Cherry Fizz, GSC | Single or box of 12 | Boxes are the usual reorder unit. |
| XXL vapes 99 %, 2 ml | Amnesia, Permanent Marker, Lemon Gelato | Single or box of 10 | Higher ticket item, good for a locked display. |
| Pods 1 ml | Amnesia, Dosi Kush, Jealousy, Original Z | Single or box of 12 | Need the matching pod battery. |
| Cartridges 79 % and Pen+Cartridge sets | Amnesia, Dosi Kush, Jealousy, Original Z, GSC, Black Cherry Fizz | Single | 510 thread, sets include the battery. |
| Joints 60 %, 2 g | Amnesia, Dosi Kush, Jealousy, Original Z | Single or box of 14 | Box version comes with display packaging. |
| Liquids 1,500 mg | Amnesia, Dosi Kush, Jealousy, Original Z | Single | For refillable devices. |
| Hash 99 % | Libanese, Afghan Gold, Banana, Choco | Single | Four aroma profiles, same base. |
| Distillate | Unflavoured | 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 3 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg | Raw material for your own products. Ask for the batch COA before ordering. |
There is no minimum order value for registered wholesale customers beyond the order units above. Boxes of vapes, joints and pods are the units most shops reorder, because the per-unit price is lower and the display packaging is included.
What a compliant COA for THP420 must show
Because THP420 is a formulation and not a single molecule, the certificate is the only objective description of the product. Before you accept a batch, check these points:
- Batch number on the certificate matches the batch on the packaging. A certificate without a batch number, or for a different batch, is not evidence for the goods in front of you.
- Full cannabinoid panel, not only THC and CBD. For THP420 you want to see CBD, CBN, CBG, CBC, CBT and CBE listed with values, plus Delta-9-THC and total THC. If the laboratory only reports two or three cannabinoids, ask for the full panel.
- Semi-synthetic panel. The certificate should list HHC, HHCP, THCP, H4CBD, THC-O and their acetates with a result for each. "Not detected" is what you want to see for a product sold as THP420.
- Synthetic cannabinoid screening. The SFP certificates include a screening for about 95 synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists. This is the panel that protects you if a customer or an authority raises the question of spice-type compounds.
- Accredited laboratory, dated report, named method. GC-FID with GC-MS confirmation for neutral cannabinoids and HPLC-DAD for acid forms is the standard you should expect.
- Residual solvents, heavy metals and microbiology for extracts and vape liquids. These panels are not part of the cannabinoid certificate and may come as separate documents. Ask for them for distillate, liquids and cartridges.
Keep a copy of every certificate with the delivery note. If an authority inspects your shop, the batch-matched COA is the first document they will ask for.
Which retailer segments THP420 suits
- CBD and hemp shops that already sell flowers and vapes and want a line with a strong consumer search demand behind it. The flowers and joints fit next to CBD flowers; the certificate reads like a broad-spectrum hemp extract.
- Vape shops that carry nicotine-free lines. The disposable vapes, pods and cartridges are the formats with the highest reorder frequency.
- Online retailers with several EU markets. Because the certificate does not contain a listed substance, THP420 is easier to clear per market than THCP or HHC lines, but each market still needs its own check.
- Private label and manufacturers who buy distillate or bulk flowers. You take over the manufacturer obligations, including labelling and your own batch testing.
THP420 is less suitable for shops that cannot document batch certificates at the point of sale, or that sell into markets where hemp extracts for inhalation are restricted regardless of THC content.
Frequently asked questions
Is THP420 a single cannabinoid?
No. THP420 is a Canapuff brand name for a formulation based on natural hemp cannabinoids. The laboratory certificate lists the individual cannabinoids, with CBD as the main component in the batch analysed above.
Does THP420 contain THC?
In the batch certificate shown above, Delta-9-THC is not detected and Delta-8-THC is 0.06 %. Check the certificate of the batch you receive, because flowers, hash and extracts are tested separately.
Does THP420 contain HHC, THCP or other semi-synthetic cannabinoids?
The certificate for the batch above shows no detections on the semi-synthetic panel. This is one of the points to verify on every new batch.
Can I sell THP420 in my country?
That depends on how your country regulates hemp extracts, the individual cannabinoids on the certificate and the product type, for example vape liquid or food. The certificate helps you answer the question, but it does not answer it for you. Ask your authority or a lawyer before the first order.
What is the minimum order?
Products are sold in the order units listed above, from single packs to boxes of 10 to 14 and bulk quantities from 100 g. Prices and stock are visible after wholesale registration.
